Ross Buchmueller

Ross joined Stone Point in 2024 and has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Ross is the Founder, former President and Chief Executive Officer of the PURE Group of Insurance Companies (PURE), a former Trident portfolio company.

Prior to founding PURE in 2006, Ross had founded and served as President of AIG Private Client Group since 1999. Ross led PURE for nearly 18 years from its start-up phase to later receiving recognition as a market-leading insurer specializing in the high-net-worth market, winning eight consecutive awards from the Family Wealth Report and seven consecutive Private Asset Management awards as “Best High-Net-Worth Insurance Company.” In 2019, PURE agreed to become part of Tokio Marine Group, a leading global insurer.
