David North

Dave joined Stone Point in 2024 and has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He currently serves as Executive Chairman of the Board of Sedgwick, a Trident portfolio company, and previously served as Sedgwick’s President and Chief Executive Officer after joining the company in 1995.

Under Dave’s leadership, Sedgwick has grown from a boutique, regional third-party claims administrator to a leading global provider of innovative business solutions in the areas of workers’ compensation, disability and absence management, property loss adjusting and other specialty services. Operating across 65 countries, Sedgwick has more than 28,000 colleagues who deliver cost-effective claims, productivity, managed care, risk consulting and other services. A widely acclaimed industry leader, Dave is a frequent speaker at conferences and events around the globe and has received several awards in recognition of his contributions to the insurance industry. During Dave’s early years, he served as a volunteer firefighter in the local community and later became a professional firefighter with the U.S. Air Force. These experiences, along with his background in safety, led Dave to the claims industry to serve others in times of loss and recovery.
