Lockton, Inc. is an independent insurance broker and consultant.

In 2006, Trident and Lockton jointly acquired Alexander Forbes International Risk Services (AFIRS), an international insurance broker that operated in the United Kingdom, Asia and Latin America, from Alexander Forbes Limited, a publicly traded South African financial services company. Upon completion of the acquisition, AFIRS was renamed Lockton International. The acquisition of Lockton International allowed Lockton to have a global platform to service its clients.
